OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Opera star Leona Mitchell has canceled her concert that was scheduled for Tuesday at the University of Central Oklahoma because of an illness.

Mitchell's agent says the Grammy Award-winning star is being treated for a lung infection. The Enid native has rescheduled the concert for 7:30 PM on March 3rd at UCO.

Tickets that were purchased for Tuesday's canceled concert will be honored at the box office on March 3rd.

Beginning Wednesday, Mitchell will begin to serve as artist in residence at UCO.
