OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ With the growth of casino gambling across the state, college students in Oklahoma can now pursue a degree in casino operations.
Officials say Oklahoma's evolving economy often can be reflected in the course programs that are added or dropped from state colleges.
Since July 2004, the state Regents for Higher Education have approved 37 programs and deleted 60 others.
Among new programs are casino operations, computer game creation and languages such as Cherokee and Chinese.
Programs that have been eliminated include an associate's degree in boot, shoe and saddle making at Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee.
