Three Creek County businesses have been honored for their support of our troops overseas.
Wednesday, the National Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve presented "Patriot" awards to Cornelius Well Service, Cornelius Oil Incorporated and Young Law Office.
The companies were nominated for the awards by their employees. John Hubbard with the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserves: "convince them that they need to support to the guard and the members that work for them but also encourage other members of the guard to go to work for them and by doing that they sign a statement of support."
The awards were presented to Mark Young from the Young Law Office and Randall and Donna Cornelius of the Cornelius Well Service and Oil Company.
The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves has been around sinec the mid 1980's.
