OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The minister of a 90 year-old woman who was found beaten and robbed in her Oklahoma City home says she has survived a surgical procedure and is going to pull through.
Police say Laveda Rinehart was found by a neighbor on Thursday bruised and cut.
Neighbor Sarah Barnes says when she found Rinehart the woman had been robbed, hit in the head with a ball-peen hammer and had a bleeding gash in her thumb.
Police say they have yet to find a suspect and say the only description Rinehart has given is that of a white male with a large build.
Rinehart's minister Ervin Donaldson says Rinehart is legally blind.
Donaldson says he's relieved that she's finally recovering.
