NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The third-ranked Oklahoma wrestling team travels to Grand Prairie, Texas, this weekend to compete in the Lone Star Duals.
The Sooners are looking to get back on the winning track after finishing 2005 with a tie and a loss to Lehigh and Oklahoma State, respectively.
Oklahoma will be competing against Clarion, Utah Valley State and Cal-State Fullerton.
Coach Jack Spates says the team's optimistic about the tournament. This years Lonestar Duals will be unique because OU will be the only top 20 team competing.
The Sooners come into the Duals with eight wrestlers ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes.
The Sooners return to the mat when they travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the NWCA National Duals on January 14th and 15th.
