Lowrance Electronics Names Murphy CFO

TULSA, Okla. (AP ) _ Lowrance Electronics Inc. on Tuesday said it appointed Paul C. Murphy chief financial officer and vice president of finance, effective Dec. 28, succeeding Douglas Townsdin.
The sonar and digital mapping systems company said Townsdin left to accept a partnership at accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP's Tulsa office. Lowrance serves the marine, consumer and aviation markets.
Murphy, 61, last worked as chief operating officer at the American Cancer Society in Kansas City, Mo., the company said.
