WISTER, Okla. (AP) -- Two people are killed and another's injured Sunday when a car collides with a motorcycle near Wister in Leflore County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 80-year-old Harold Smith of Wister and 58-year-old Richard Blackwell of Hartshorne were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The accident happened about 7:30 PM, about eight miles west of Wister.
The patrol says Smith tried to make a U-turn across US Highway 270 when he pulled in front of Blackwell, who was riding a motorcycle.
A passenger on Blackwell's motorcycle -- 54-year-old Crystal Blackwell -- was ejected about 10 feet and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
