A firefighting helicopter is on stand-by in Tulsa, along with four members of the Oklahoma Army National Guard.

Theyâ€™re waiting for the call to help should a wildfire start in northeastern Oklahoma. The Blackhawk helicopter is equipped with large buckets that hold more than 600 gallons of water at a time.

Jay Jones with the Oklahoma Army National Guard: "we just locate the nearest water source, as long as itâ€™s clean and deep enough, hover over the water, start fighting the fire. When we drop it all goes out at one time, we can hit spot fires or afire along a line or put out a fire in some trees."

Another firefighting helicopter is on stand-by in Lexington.
