A Claremore woman run down by a drunk driver in a crowded Tulsa shopping center parking lot is home with her family.

Linda McDaniel was leaving a department store at 68th and Memorial last Wednesday, when she was hit by a car going 30 miles an hour. McDaniel had to have surgery to repair her broken neck and a vertebra in her back, but she can still walk and has no other injuries.

She calls her survival a Christmas miracle. “Miracles do happen and you never know when one's gonna happen. Just look for them they'll be there. I've had two or three of em just recently. So even out of something bad something good will come."

Tulsa Police arrested Charles Chenoweth after the accident for drunk driving. So far, no charges have been filed.
