SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) -- Former Depew Mayor Todd McFarland is going to prison for eight years for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

McFarland was sentenced in Creek County District Court after being convicted in October of second-degree rape and second-degree sexual battery.

He was given five years for the rape conviction and three years for sexual battery.
