OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The sales of Oklahoma's new Pick-3 lottery tickets are falling below expectations.
Lottery Director Jim Scroggins says the first five weeks of Pick-3 sales have totaled just over $1.4-million. He says that's 6.7 percent of total lottery sales of more than $22.5-million.
Scroggins says games similar to Pick-3 in other states account for 10 to 12 percent of total lottery sales.
Scroggins says the low sales is due to too few winners and difficulty in understanding how to play Pick-3.
In Pick-3 the players choose three numbers in an effort to match three numbers drawn at random in nightly televised drawings.
