OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The state Supreme Court is publicly censuring a well-known Muskogee attorney and placing him on probation for two years.
The court's action against David Garrett comes after Garrett pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery charges against two women. Garrett was originally arrested on felony sexual battery charges, but the charges were later reduced.
He has since settled a civil lawsuit filed against by the two women.
Garrett will be allowed to practice law during his probation and must continue receiving alcohol treatment during the probation.
