PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) _ A Hominy man has been found competent to stand trial on charges of killing a waitress at a Hominy diner.
Osage County prosecutors say a psychological evaluation of Roy Westbrook found he is fit for trial.
Westbrook is charged with first-degree murder in the July shooting death of Rebecca Clements of Hominy.
Prosecutors say Westbrook walked into the Hominy Diner during the lunch hour and shot Clements three times.
Investigators say Westbrook may have shot Clements in retaliation for a letter Clements wrote to an Osage County newspaper in which she defended her sister. The sister was renting a house from Westbrook and had fallen behind on payments.
Westbrook remains in the Osage County jail.
