OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma County Court Clerk Patricia Presley Wednesday that she will run for the Democratic nomination in the 5th Congressional District.
She promised to bring what she called "common-sense Oklahoma thinking" to Washington.
She said she is someone who can work with Republicans and Democrats without engaging in petty bickering.
Presley last month announced she had shifted her party registration from Republican to Democrat.
She joins Bert Smith, the 2002 Democratic nominee, in the race. Republicans who are running are Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin, state Representative Fred Morgan, former state Representative Bill Graves and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Denise Bode.
