Some Oklahoma taxpayers could have problems cashing their tax rebate checks.
A "Bank of America" subcontractor accidentally printed some of the checks on plain white paper. And that's caused some confusion when people try to cash their checks.
Bank of America -is- honoring the checks, but Oklahoma officials want anyone who received a white check to contact the treasurer's office at 405-521-3191 to get a new check.
State Treasurer Scott Meacham says income tax rebate checks should be received by December 12th.
Meacham said Tuesday that detailed information about the rebates is on his office's Web site at www.treasurer.ok.gov.
He says taxpayers who haven't received a tax rebate by December 12th should call his office at 405-522-3333.
For taxpayers filing as an individual or married filing separately last year, the payments are $45 each.
Taxpayers who filed as a surviving spouse, head of household or married filing jointly are getting $90 checks.
