Tulsa Police are looking a little closer at an attempted break-in. It happened at an apartment complex and it shares similarities with crimes committed by Tulsa's serial rapist.

6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says the attempted break-in happened at the Coppermill Apartments. The serial rapist already struck there once, trying to get in through a window where a one-year old child was sleeping.

This incident also had the same time frame as the first case. This all started when Mary took her fiancé' to work early Wednesday morning. When she came back home, she saw a suspicious looking man in her parking lot. She waited until he left before going inside her apartment.

About 20 minutes later, Mary says someone wiggled the doorknob of her apartment and tried to get in. She called police and they told her to flip all the lights on. Mary: “I figured he'd take off after I turned on all the lights and figured someone was awake. He didn't, he tried harder to get in."

Mary says the intruder also checked out her window, but it was locked. She's didn't see his face, but says he was white, in his 20's or 30's and wearing a starter jacket with a hood. Mary says the jacket seemed a few sizes too big for him.

Mary has a one year old son, but he was with grandparents at the time. Tulsa Police don't know if this man was the serial rapist and they won't know until he can be identified.
