It's a bittersweet homecoming for an Inola soldier killed in Iraq.
Hundreds of Inola residents lined the streets with flags Wednesday night as Travis Grigg’s remains were brought back to his hometown. The 24-year-old Grigg was killed in a roadside bombing in Iraq, last week.
The town gathered to pay respects to the fallen soldier and show respect for his family. Inola mayor Cheryl Charles: "Everyone was contacting me after we found out about Travis and so I just wanted to do something that everyone in town can participate and show the Grigg family that we support them and we are here for them."
Grigg's funeral is scheduled for Saturday in Inola.
