There are new sounds on the airwaves at 102.3 FM in Tulsa.
Spirit 102.3 replaced Led Zeppelin with Amy Grant at 9 AM Wednesday. Cox Radio owns the new station, which replaced a rock 'n roll format with contemporary Christian music.
The station manager says he expects positive feedback and is eager to hear from listeners. Chris Kelly: "We'll take that feedback and hopefully it'll be on the radio. So we're asking people to call and give us their suggestions, what they'd like in the radio station, and we'll take those and make the station even better."
The station does not have any DJ's yet, but they are looking.
The planned change had been in the work for several months and was kept a secret until the big switch Wednesday morning.
