OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The statewide average price for gasoline is below $2 a gallon in Oklahoma for the first time in more than five months.

AAA Oklahoma says the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular is $1.99. It's the first time the average is under $2 since June 6th and is the second-lowest average in the nation behind Missouri's $1.98 per gallon.

AAA says the average in Oklahoma City is now just more than $1.94 per gallon and in Tulsa drivers are paying an average of just more than $1.97.

The statewide average is down 32 cents from a month ago, but is still 21 cents more than at this time last year.
