Tulsa's Police Department has 12 new reserve officers ready to serve.

The new officers are all volunteers. They've already gone through more than seven months of training and they have another five months of field training, all on their own time and with no pay.

This reserve class will be the first to wear Tulsa's new blue uniforms. While they're wearing those uniforms, they'll have the same authority as any other regular, full-time officer.
