Raising awareness in Tulsa after a serial rapist attacks at least seven people, most of them children over the last two years.
Three agencies teamed up Saturday along with an army of volunteers, to pass out 10,000 door hangers and flyers. The groups hope to raise awareness that the serial rapist is still out there targeting children. They're arming people with knowlege.
Volunteers and workers passed out flyers with composite drawings of the rapist and door hangers with basic safety tips. Blue Cross/Blue Shield paid to print the Information in both English and Spanish, not only to protect people from the serial rapist but all types of crime.
Melissa Lockhart with DVIS/Call Rape: "The goal is for people to be more aware. It's not to scare people. We just want them to know there are things that you can do to be safe. And, if you see something, here's who to call and if you need help, there is help out there for you."
