Tulsa Public Schools fine arts program is $12,000 richer.
The Assistance League of Tulsa presented checks Thursday in memory of their former president Betty Bradstreet. They say Betty was a huge supporter of the arts so they created an endowment fund to help Tulsa Public Schools.
The group gave out nearly $16,000 to various arts programs Thursday, in an effort to keep the arts alive in public schools.
Pam Penix with Assistance League of Tulsa: "These programs have been cut and it's a way for us to supplement that so children can continue their arts education in Tulsa Public Schools."
The Assistance League of Tulsa also raises money and awareness for charities throughout the community.
