Tulsa's vision for the future is paving the way for new and improved health services for low income and uninsured families.
Vision 2025 funds are providing the foundation for a new home for Morton Comprehensive Health Services.
The north Tulsa clinic has served the area for decades, now construction is well-underway on a new facility. Instead of getting that care in the cramped quarters of the current clinic, in just a matter of months, patients will visit a 60,000 square foot facility, offering more services than ever before.
Morton CEO Robert Sanders: “they don't have the insurance benefits to go to a medical doctor to receive services for basic primary care, babies getting their shots to grandmommas getting medicine, just basic care most middle class people take for granted."
Morton also plans to offer optometry, podiatry and more. Day to day operation is funded by a federal grant.
The new facility should be completed by the summer of 2006.
