The cause of a fatal Rogers County fire remains under investigation.

The fire broke out at the Midway Mobile Home Park just off Route 66 in Verdigris Wednesday morning. Officials say 32-year-old John McCause, his 3-year-old son Jacob and 5-year-old son James were killed.

Crews arrived quickly on the scene and had the fire out in less than five minutes, but the house was filled with smoke.

Firefighters found McCause and one son in the bathroom. The second son was found in a back bedroom.

Relative Tara McCause: "He was a good dad, a good dad. He took really good care of his kids. He loved his kids. He would have done anything and from the looks of it he did."

McCause's wife and another child weren't home at the time of the fire.
