STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ An economist at Oklahoma State is predicting a good year for Oklahoma.
Mark Snead of the Center for Applied Economic Research at OSU says the state will add 25,500 jobs this year and 23,500 more next year.
He says most of the job growth will come because of a mini oil boom that's led to the hiring of 7,000 oilfield workers in the past five year.
Snead says Oklahoma has already regained all but about 15, of the 65,000 jobs that were lost during the recession in 2001 and 2002.
He says Oklahoma City will add about 10,500 new jobs next year and that the economic recovery is finally under way in Tulsa and about 6,800 new jobs will be created.
