EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- The Reverend Jerry Falwell cancels his visit to Oklahoma, where he was to deliver a speech to the 2005 Pastors Conference.

Officials say the Moral Majority Coalition co-founder couldn't fulfill his obligation Monday because of mechanical problems with his airplane. Falwell couldn't be reached for comment.

The Reverend Ray Earley -- president of the Pastor's Conference and pastor of First Baptist Church of Cartwright -- took Falwell's place at Edmond's Henderson Hills Baptist Church.

Farley says he requested to have Falwell as one of several guest speakers because of the conference's theme of prayer.

Convention leaders honored Oklahoma City-based Hobby Lobby Creative Centers for its recent $2-million pledge for construction projects at the Falls Creek youth camp and conference center near Davis.
