WATONGA, Okla. (AP) _ A woman who was shot several times at her home near Watonga is improving and now in fair condition at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Lauren Drew Kopf was wounded last Thursday in the shooting that left Amber Matthews of Kingfisher dead. Kopf was able to escape and drive herself to Watonga.

Authorities say Matthews wash killed and Kopf shot when Matthews answered a knock at Kopf's home. Deputies later arrested Windell Grissem and Jessie Johns, but no criminal charges have been filed.

Investigators describe Grissem and Johns as drifters and say robbery appears to have been the motive for the shooting.
