Inmate escapes Hamilton Correctional Center in LeFlore County

HODGEN, Okla. (AP) -- State prison officials are looking for an inmate who escaped from the Jim E- Hamilton Correctional Center near Hodgen in LeFlore County.

Authorities say Jon Lagrone was missing at the 9 o'clock head count Monday night. He was serving a 15 year sentence for drug trafficking in Oklahoma County.

Lagrone is 57, white, about 5-feet-8 and 165 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Hamilton Center is a minimum security prison near the Ouachita National Forest in southeastern Oklahoma
