A foul odor hung over downtown Tulsa Tuesday morning.

The News on 6 put in calls to the local refineries and the fire department to see if they may know what was the cause, but hasnâ€™t heard anything back. We also checked into reports of a similar smell in March.

At that time, we were told one refinery's flame burned off excess gasses, but that wasn't responsible for any strange or unusual odors. No one ever identified the cause of that smell.
