OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Nearly 2,000 horses and riders will compete over 15 days during the American Quarter Horse Association's World Championship Show.
The show is celebrating its 30th year in Oklahoma City and will feature a prize purse of more than two million-dollars.
Officials from the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce say competitors from 49 states will bring an estimated $25-million to the local economy.
Horses will compete in events ranging from roping and jumping to cutting.
The games open Saturday at the State Fair Arena and will begin at 8 AM daily.
