OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The robbery of a McLoud bank may be the work of a woman who allegedly has robbed other banks in central Oklahoma.
The FBI says a white woman Wednesday entered BancFirst in McLoud, a Pottawatomie County community north of Shawnee, and gave the teller a note. A weapon was implied but was not seen.
There were no reports of injuries.
The robber gathered the money, ran out of the bank and fled in a green Ford Explorer. The vehicle was last seen in Shawnee.
The same person may have robbed three banks in smaller communities in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The F-B-I says the First State Bank of Wanette was robbed September 30th, a BancFirst in Stroud was robbed September 23rd and Bison Federal Credit Union in Shawnee was hit September 1st.
