KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) The owner and founder of an automobile dealership in north-central Oklahoma has died.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Dobrinski Chevrolet owner James Posey Dobrinski was killed in an accident west of Dover Saturday night.
The patrol says the 47-year-old Okeene resident was headed west on a county road when the Chevrolet pickup he was driving went off the right side of the road.
The OHP report says Dobrinski drove back onto the road and overcorrected, running off the right side of the road again, hitting a stop sign and rolling two and three-fourths times. The impact threw him 18 feet.
He was transported to Kingfisher Hospital and was pronounced dead from head and neck injuries about an hour after the wreck.
Dobrinski and his brother, Michael, partnered to build auto dealerships in Okeene, Kingfisher and Watonga.
