OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State revenue collections for the first three months of the fiscal year are $113.6 million or 9.4 percent more than they were a year ago, state Treasurer Scott Meacham said Tuesday.

Receipts were $42 million above the official estimate used to build the state budget for the fiscal year ending next June 30.

"The state's economy continues to show healthy growth," Meacham said.

For the first quarter, net income tax collections were up 13 percent from a year ago, the sales tax was up 5.4 percent and the gross production tax on natural gas was up 7.2 percent.

Motor vehicle tax receipts were up 18.1 percent.
