Classical is cool. That is the message the 5 Browns brought to Tulsa Public School students Tuesday morning.
The talented musicians performed for hundreds of students as part VH1's "Save the Music" program. The concert capped off an exciting morning for TPS.
VH1 and Cox Communications presented a $100,000 check to the music education program. Tulsa school board president Matt Livingood says everyone will benefit. "The students will be, whether they'll be instrumental, whether they'll be participation, or they're just learning to appreciate music. It helps round us out as a community."
Since 2001, the "Save the Music" Foundation has given more than $500,000 to Tulsa Public Schools.
