OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A man killed in an late Monday night house fire in northwest Oklahoma City was identified Tuesday morning as 75-year-old John Gafney.
Fire Major Brian Stanland says Gafney first rescued his 48-year-old son, Keith, from the flames. Then for unknown reasons he went back inside the burning home and into an office.
No other injuries are reported.
Stanaland says the fire appears to have been caused by a malfunction in the central heating and air unit and did about $170,000 in damage.
