An eastern Oklahoma hospital is cutting jobs. It's happening at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center, where 50 jobs will be cut.
Officials blame declining patient numbers and the costs of an expansion project. The center is a public trust owned by the city. It's one of the largest employers in Muskogee with 1,100 workers.
The mayor says the city may discuss a possible tax increase to help subsidize the hospital.
