OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Congressman Dan Boren is meeting with Bush Administration officials about their response to the nations methamphetamine epidemic.
In a roundtable discussion, Boren and other members of the Congressional Meth Caucus Wednesday discussed the government's role in helping state and local authorities battle meth.
Boren says more needs to be done to tighten borders and curtail the flood of Mexican manufactured meth into the US.
Boren also says the administration needs to get behind a national anti-meth law.
Boren and Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole have introduced the Methamphetamine Reduction Act. The bill mirrors an Oklahoma anti-meth law and would move medicines containing pseudoephedrine, meth's key ingredient, behind pharmacy counters.
