McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- State health officials say a Pittsburg County man has been infected with the West Nile virus, the third reported case of the virus in Oklahoma this year.

Laurence Burnsed of the state Department of Health says the latest case is a 19-year-old McAlester-area resident. Burnsed says he wasn't hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery.

The man, a hunter and outdoorsman, was infected with a mild form of the virus and began experiencing symptoms earlier this month. They included fever, head and muscle aches and sensitivity to light in the eyes.

Two other cases of West Nile virus have been reported so far this year, including a woman in Beaver County who became ill in August and a Seqouyah County woman who was hospitalized in July. Both have made a full recovery.
