NEW YORK (AP) _ Warner Music Group Corp. has signed a licensing deal with Viacom Inc.'s MTV Networks to start offering wireless music-video programming for cell phones and other gadgets in a first-of-its-kind agreement.
Under the agreement, MTV will create and distribute videos with Warner artists for cell phones and other wireless gadgets.
MTV is the only media company that Warner has licensed its music-video roster to for original, wireless programming.
MTV will offer the content, which will include short programs derived from the cable network's shows, across its brands, including MTV and VH1.
