OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Hispanic leaders say an Oklahoma law that allows illegal immigrants to attend state colleges at in-state tuition rates may be targeted for repeal.

Immigration lawyer Michael Brooks-Jimenez told students at Oklahoma City Community College yesterday that there is a move afoot to reverse the legislation.

His remarks came during a community forum sponsored by the college's Hispanic student organization in observation of Hispanic Heritage Month.

It's been more than two years since the Oklahoma Legislature passed the bill allowing students without legal immigration status to enroll in college, pay resident tuition and be eligible for state financial aid.

To qualify, students must have lived in Oklahoma at least two years before graduating from an Oklahoma high school or passing a high school equivalency exam.
