PURCELL, Okla. (AP) -- An escapee from the McIntosh County jail is back in custody after crashing a stolen pickup truck on a golf course in Purcell.

Police say Juston Cox crashed the truck and tried to run while being chased by Purcell police and an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper. Police had received a tip that Cox was using a telephone at a nearby travel plaza.

McIntosh County authorities say Cox and his brother, Jayson Cox, escaped on September sixth by chiseling into the jail's ceiling and going out an air vent. Jayson Cox was caught in a field near the jail about 20 minutes after the escape.

The two are being held on concealing stolen property charges
