OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The price of gas continues to fall in Oklahoma and is now an average of $2.68 a gallon statewide for self-serve, regular.

AAA says Friday's average is nearly a nickel per gallon cheaper than Thursday, but about 27 cents higher than a month ago and almost one dollar per gallon more expensive than one year ago.

In Oklahoma City the average is $2.65 per gallon and Tulsans are paying an average of just under $2.65 a gallon.

The nationwide average today is just below $2.89 per gallon.

The average price in Oklahoma is the fourth-lowest in the country. The cheapest gas is found in Mississippi at almost $2.62 per gallon. Louisiana has the second-lowest average price and Minnesota is third.
