Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin arrived in Tulsa Thursday to pay special tribute to some well-deserving pilots.
The men are former Spartan Aeronautics students from the class of 1945, a time when Spartan had a school in Miami entirely devoted to British pilots. It's been 60 years since these men have been reunited. Some were surprised to learn that out of 100 classmates only seven remain, but that didn't stop them from catching up on old times.
Pilot Victor Mussen: "It was good fun but we didn't tell the instructors at that time the good fun we were having. Yes we did all kinds of foolish things that we shouldn't have done. And probably if anyone in authority at Spartan would have known, he we would've said should have gotten rid of that guy."
Mussen says Oklahoma looks completely different than it did 60 years ago. He says for one thing he doesn't remember Green Country having so many lakes.
