OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A US Airways jet on a flight from Phoenix to Charlotte, North Carolina was diverted to Oklahoma City Friday after a passenger pushed a flight attendant and was subdued by a federal air marshal.
FBI spokesman Gary Johnson says the passenger was taken into police custody after the plane landed at Will Rogers World Airport and is now undergoing a mental evaluation.
Johnson says the incident does "not" appear to be related to terrorism.
The twin-engine Airbus A-321 landed in Oklahoma City at 10:30 Friday morning and returned to flight about three hours later on its trip to Charlotte.
