Northeastern State University's Broken Arrow campus hosted the grand opening celebration for one of three new classroom buildings Friday.
Construction of ‘Building G’ was made possible through Tulsa County's Vision 2025 program. The grand opening commemorates the completion of the first Vision 2025 Higher Education project.
The $26-million package will complete Phase II of construction on the NSU campus which includes science, library and classroom buildings.
It is also the only Vision 2025 project outside of Tulsa County.
NSU president Larry Williams: "I think it speaks to how important NSU is to the social and economic growth of this whole area."
Once completed, the campus will be able to accommodate 8,000 students annually.
