OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Environmental officials are asking citizens in the Tulsa area to take steps Thursday to reduce air pollution.
Already this year, Tulsa has surpassed daily federal clean air standards several times. Based on Thursday's weather forecast and other data, officials believe the Tulsa area has the potential for high air pollution Thursday.
To lessen air pollution, individuals can refuel their cars at night, carpool, ride public transportation and avoid taking long trips and using gas-powered lawn mowers.
