SEOUL, South Korea (AP) Hornets point guard Chris Paul will officially be on the US roster when the World Championships begin on Saturday.
San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen was cut yesterday, giving the US its final 12 man roster.
Paul's spot had been all but a certainty, especially after Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas dropped out with a strained groin earlier this week. That left Paul and Chicago's Kirk Hinrich as the only 2 point guards on the team.
Other players on the roster are Carmelo Anthony, Shane Battier, Chris Bosh, Elton Brand, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson, Brad Miller and Dwyane Wade.
