NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ University of Oklahoma outfielder Kody Kaiser says he's leaving OU.

The Sooners' are coached by Kaiser's uncle Sunny Golloway.

Kaiser says there are grumblings of nepotism by other OU players and he will either play next year at Oklahoma City University or sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers drafted Kaiser in the 26th round of the June draft.

OU is refusing to give Kaiser a release which would allow him to play immediately at another NCAA Division One school.

Kaiser says the refusal to grant a release is because Golloway is worried about recruiting.

Golloway declined to discuss details, but says he hopes Kaiser will return and wishes him the best.

Athletic director Joe Castiglione says OU is being more restrictive on giving releases because the NCAA's academic rules penalizes schools when too many athletes transfer.

Kaiser was a second team Freshman All-American two seasons ago and he hit .306 as the Sooners' starting left fielder this past season.
