TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Tulsa is extending the contract of football coach Steve Kragthorpe for another season.

The new contract goes through the end of the 2012 academic year. Financial terms won't be released by the private school.

Kragthorpe is 21-and-17 in three seasons at TU with a Conference USA championship and has led the Golden Hurricane to two bowl games, including a win in the Liberty Bowl last season.
