OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A former FBI counterterrorism specialist has been chosen as the deputy director of the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism.
David Cid spent 20 years with the FBI, including four years as a counterintelligence and counterterrorism specialist in Washington DC. He also worked in Buffalo, Newark, New York, Minneapolis and Oklahoma City.
Since retiring from the FBI in 2001, Cid has been an adviser to agencies, companies and law enforcement on security and terrorism issues. He lives in Edmond.
Cid says he looks forward to expanding the reach of the nonprofit institute, which was created in response to the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building in 1995.
